Why "Story and Faith"?

While we may not often think of it as such, our life can accurately be described as "our story". It is a uniquely personal story as it is a compilation of our experiences and the people and relationships that intersect them over the years.  Stories have high points and low points and by embracing them both we come to terms with who we are and with how we are shaped by them.

When we think about "our faith" it shouldn't be so much about a list of doctrines and beliefs we subscribe to. It should be about a relationship with God that recognizes our full dependence on him. Faith seeks after God knowing that he will be found. Faith serves as a filter for our story that continues to unfold day by day. Our faith is how we are granted perspective when perspective is needed. It's the only way we can know and please God. That makes it kind of a big deal!

Tom Beaumont

And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. (Heb. 11:6)

Story Blog

This blog is about stories of faith from the Scriptures. It is a place to not just learn about faith but to see it lived out in the lives of Bible personalities.
